How to Get Rid of a Boil on Your Nose

A boil comes from bacteria entering a break in the skin and infecting an oil gland or hair follicle. The immune system sends white blood cells to kill the bacteria, which causes the abscess to grow into a red, painful boil. According to Mayo Clinic, boils are most common on the face, neck, buttocks, armpits and thighs. As the boil grows, it forms a yellowish head. This is embarrassing, especially in very visible areas, such as your nose. You can do a few things to help make a boil on your nose disappear.

Instructions

Apply a warm moist compress by folding up a wash cloth. Run hot water onto the cloth and hold it on the boil until it cools. Repeat several times a day.

Fight the urge to squeeze or open the boil. This will only prolong the boil and spread the infection.

Keep skin clean to avoid spreading the bacteria.

Wash your nose regularly with antibacterial soap. You want to keep the germs away.

Use cotton swabs to apply peroxide on the boil.

Apply peroxide with a cotton swab over the boil a few times a day.

Cover the boil lightly with a topical antiseptic after each cleaning.
