Exercises for Leg Cellulite

You can eliminate cellulite on legs with leg exercises. Cellulite is a collection of fat that is pushed against the skin and looks like cottage cheese or bumpy dimples. Building muscle will get rid of unwanted cellulite, because it tones the legs. One can have liposuction surgery to get rid of cellulite, but it is safer and healthier to get rid of it with exercise.

Lunges

    Stand with your feet at hips width apart. You can hold a barbell at chest level or dumbbells in each hand, with palms facing your sides. Take a step forward while bending your knee. The thigh should be straight from knee to hip. Hold for 5 seconds, and then return to standing position. Repeat this exercise 10 times on each leg. You can also use ankle weights for this exercise.

Squats

    Stand with your feet at hips width apart. You can place your arms along your side or hold a dumbbell at chest level. Bend your knees until you are at a sitting position and hold for 5 seconds, while keeping your back straight. Return to standing position. Kickbacks

Climbing Stairs

    Walk or jog slightly up a set of stairs. When beginning, it is best to jog up five flights of stairs. If you only have one flight of stairs, walk or jog up and down them until you have climbed them five times. You can also use dumbbells for an extra workout. Be sure to keep your back straight when climbing stairs. This will work out your legs and help your posture.

Jogging

    Put on a comfortable pair of tennis shoes and go jogging around the block. You can also jog on a treadmill or jog in place at home. Try and jog for 30 minutes. You can also jog while holding dumbbells for an extra workout. Pick a television show and jog to it. If using a treadmill, jog with an incline. Jogging on an incline will work out the leg muscles more than jogging on a flat surface.
