How to Find Herbal Body Wrap Recipes

Herbal body wraps are a refreshing treat after a particularly hard day. You can make them part of your weekly ritual to pamper yourself on a regular basis. Homemade wraps are affordable and can be made with ingredients from grocery and health stores.

Instructions

Create a base for herbal enhancement using 1 cup of green clay, 1/4 cup of sea salt, 2 tbsps. of olive oil and 2 cups of water. Different herbs and essential oils produce different effects. Use a brush to spread the mixture over your skin. Wrap yourself in plastic and towels and lay in the tub for 45 minutes, If you want to lie on your bed, put down a plastic drop cloth first.

Relax with a lavender and chamomile wrap. Add 10 drops of essential oils or 1/2 cup of herbs to the base clay mixture.

Detoxify your skin with dandelion, parsley and echinacea. Add 10 drops of the essential oils or 1/2 cup of flowers to the base clay mixture.

Fight exhaustion and fatigue with calamus, peppermint, oregano, yarrow, coltsfoot, wormwood, lemon balm, nettle and rosemary. Add 10 drops total of the essential oils or 1/2 cup total of a variety of the flowers to the base clay mix.

Ease your inflamed joints with golden rod, white willow bark, white pine bark, angelica root, savory, juniper, heather and sage. Add 10 drops total of the essential oils or 1/2 cup total of a variety of the flowers to the base clay mix.
